Aziz Doss

Aziz Doss received his MBBCh from Kasr-Al-Ainy Medical School. He then conducted part of his training in Imperial College, St. Mary's Hospital in the UK and Emory University Hospital in the United States. Apart from his medical residency, he was part of the restructuring operation of 17 different University Hospitals in Egypt. He was also briefly involved in the management of the Health Insurance Organization. Dr. Doss joined Pylon holding, where he was involved in due diligence processes, mergers, acquisitions, operational turnarounds and restructuring mandates. He is certified in Corporate Governance and Healthcare Transparency by the Insburg Management Institution and is one of the founders of the Healthcare Governance and Transparency Association (HeGTA). He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American College of Healthcare Executives and Urgernt Care Association of America. He is a great believer in social responsibility, and works very closely with different funds and associations to improve healthcare accessibility and its delivery. Dr. Doss is a dog-lover and sailor.

Tarik Habib

A 10 year Wall Street veteran, Mr. Habib started his career in Salomon Smith Barney's health care investment banking group (currently Citigroup), where he was involved in leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, mergers, high yield placements, and equity offerings. He then joined Dawson Herman Capital Management, a hedge fund that managed up to $3.5 billion, where he was exclusively responsible for their healthcare investments. Mr. Habib's healthcare investments and proprietary allocation strategy allowed him to materially beat market benchmarks, even during the economic recession. His operational experience includes acting as an interim Managing Director at a local health care construction company, where his restructuring efforts resulted in significant sales growth and cost realignment. Mr. Habib received his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, where he was involved in the design of novel bioactive protein polymers and was a recipient of the Richard Johns award in biomedical engineering. Mr. Habib is an avid practitioner of Ashtanga yoga.

Omar Refaat

As part of his tenure with EFG-Hermes Investment Banking, Mr. Refaat worked directly on M&A transactions with a value exceeding USD 28 billion including the merger between Weather Investments and Vimpelcom, the sale of Al Watany Bank Egypt, sale of Tunisiana, defense of Mobinil, Actis' acquisition of a minority stake in Commercial International Bank and has had experience across a range of sectors including financial institutions, telecoms, real estate, energy infrastructure, retail, building materials, as well as others and was involved in concluding a number of transactions on a regional level for international clients. He received his B.S. in Business Administration and Economics from the American University in Cairo. Mr. Refaat is also a writer and a poet.

Waleed Abdel-Dayem

After graduating from medical school and practicing medicine in the UK, he moved back to Egypt and became involved in healthcare management. Over the last 10 years, he has helped establish and manage the offshore operations of several US-based teleradiology and medical transcription companies. Dr. Dayem became the first professional in Egypt and the Middle East to become a Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) by the Association of Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI). He also holds an MBA degree in E-business/Management Information Systems. He currently is a part-time instructor in the MBA program, specializing in E-business/MIS. He has extensive experience in the areas of healthcare documentation, medical billing and coding, and health informatics. Dr. Dayem is an avid reader.

Ghassan Sabri

With a Master's Degree in Economics from the American University in Cairo and Bachelor of Commerce from the John Molson School of Business, Mr. Sabri has been heavily involved in healthcare and economic reforms across the southern Mediterranean region. Having worked with the United Nations World Health Organization, UNICEF, and UNDP. He was in charge of $6 million worth of food consignments during the North African crisis with the World Food Program. Mr. Sabri is a Juventus club enthusiast.

Shafik Baloch

In his more than eight years of experience, Mr. Baloch worked with various healthcare solution and services providers in Pakistan and Egypt to manage healthcare related solutions and operations for US, Canadian, European and British firms. He also implemented and designed HIPAA compliance security infrastructure and solutions for multiple operations. Mr. Baloch also managed and certified three products from CCHIT and InfoGuard. He has experience with Standard & Compliance Based Interoperability & Health Information Exchange with a background in HL7, HITSP, CCR/CCD, EDI, IHE and ATNA. He has experience with medical billing and transcription, electronic medical records, HIS systems, teleradiology, PACS and RIS. Mr Baloch is an avid sports fan.

Ihab Mahmoud

Mr. Mahmoud has 21 years of experience in the Egyptian, Saudi Arabian, Algerian, Libyan, Tunisian, Jordanian and Sudanese medical equipment and supplies industry. Targeting both private and public clientele, he generated sales of more than 150 million LE. Mr. Mahmoud is an avid partaker in international medical supplies and equipment trade fairs and completed over 30 international technical training courses in medical equipment maintenance, integration and set-up in a wide range of fields including sterilization, electro-surgery and neuro-diagnosis. He has a degree in mass communication. Mr. Mahmoud enjoys traveling and history.

Amr El-Hariry

Mr. El-Hariry started his entrepreneurial career early on. He started many businesses, including: multi-million low-income housing projects in underdeveloped areas, personal smart chip identity cards, tourism, commodities trading, pharmaceutical and medical product market launch and introductions, legal registration of projects and also developed the first orthopedics specialized hospital in Egypt. His multiple projects led him to deal with different people and corporations from various industries giving him insight and exposure to a wide range of regulatory processes and procedures. He graduated with a degree in communications. Mr. El-Hariry is an ardent Ahly football club supporter.
